Anna Kahkoska, MD, PhD

Dr. Kahkoska is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutrition in the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Division of Endocrinology at Metabolism in the School of Medicine and an Affiliate of the UNC Center for Aging and Health. Her research focuses on people who live with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, and particularly the complex needs of geriatric populations. She is interested in developing novel approaches to improve the day-to-day self-care of diabetes, including nutrition and diet, glucose monitoring, and psychosocial well-being for older adults.
